When discussing exterior walls, we generally distinguish between boundary walls<\/strong>, which are typically located on property lines, and retaining walls<\/strong>, whose purpose is to ensure soil stability.<\/p>\n\n\n

For both categories, it is possible to construct them without a project or building permit, but only up to a certain height and under specific conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For boundary walls, the maximum height allowed without a project or permit is 1.6 m<\/strong> (measured from the lowest point of the final leveled terrain).
For retaining walls, the maximum height without a project or permit is 1 m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although these heights are permitted without a building permit, it is always necessary to check the spatial plan to determine if there are any specific restrictions (e.g., dimensions, position on the plot, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fences<\/strong> are another category that can be constructed without a project or permit, up to a maximum height of 2.2 m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anything exceeding the mentioned heights\u2014boundary walls (1.6 m), retaining walls (1 m), or fences (2.2 m)<\/strong>\u2014requires a project and a building permit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
