Apartments in Dalmatia have one distinctive characteristic: they are being used only during the summer months. What used to be a two-month holiday season has become almost certainly a four-month holiday season. However, many apartments are still not suitable to be rented out or lived in during the winter months
Our recent project for a house for living and holidaying in Pakoštane bridges that particular gap, and it also brings many more advantages.
Diverse apartments in one high quality cluster
A building of 400m2 consists of four living units, with two bigger and two smaller apartments. One of the bigger apartments comprises two levels, and additional feature is that each apartment has sufficient area of outdoor space. The apartments on the ground floor have gardens, while the ones on the first floor have open terraces. The apartments are organized and oriented in such a way that they ensure complete privacy.
External insulation of 10 cm and high quality windows and doors make sure that the house requires very little energy for cooling during summer, as well as for heating during winter. In a nutshell, the building contains apartments that are pleasant to live in all year round, but which still have all of the advantages of holiday apartments.
Numerous possibilities of use
Due to the characteristics of the building, the spectrum of potential users is rather large. From senior people who can own a pleasant apartment at the seaside, or for young people who wish to live independently in one of the smaller apartments in the building, to the families who want to have a permanent place for summer vacation where they can drop in all year round. The external areas are optimized and thus require minimum maintenance and incur minimum additional real estate costs.
